WEEK 8

Week 8 already! It has been a busy and productive term! We have had book week combined with Italian Week, National Literacy and Numeracy Week, the blessing of the changing of the name of our sports and performance centre to the ”The Sacred Heart Sports and Performance Centre’, and many more exciting things happening at school!

As the term is slowly coming to an end, we are getting closer to they end of the year and that means our Year 7′s will be leaving us soon…. So if you are going to a Catholic Secondary School, you need to ensure that you get your transition forms signed to allow us to pass on information to your secondary school. These forms need to be signed by the parents and returned to either Miss Broadbent or Mrs Angelino.

A couple of reminders for you, Technology projects are due in Week 10, so please ensure that you have it completed by then and ready to present to the class individually or in your groups.

Hope you all have a great week!

WEEK 8

Where has the time gone??? I can not believe that it is week 8 already!

As you are aware, I have been offered another role in the school which means that for 3 days I will be out of the classroom. I will be teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays and Miss Broadbent will be teaching in the class on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I can assure you that the learning will continue as normal, as both Miss Broadbent and I have had planned extensively for this Year 6/7 class.

On Tuesday we have an excursion with both Year 6/7 classes. We will be going to visit the Da Vinci Exhibition at the Wayville Showgrounds. This excursion will compliment all the work the students have done in the area of Science for their topic of ‘Machines’. Once we have been to the excursion, I will put up some photos of the event… we just hope that the weather holds out for us!!

Next week on Monday is our turn for assembly, so please make sure you invite any family members that might like to attend to see some of the great work you have done.

Also a reminder to keep an eye on your diaries for due dates of your assignments and projects that are due soon. During the next two weeks, we will not have the homework grids to go on with, allowing you time to complete your assessment pieces. Please make sure you see me if you have difficulty with any of these tasks.

I hope you all have a great week!

MRS ANGELINO :) :)

We also welcome a student teacher, Mrs Todd into our class for the next two weeks as she continues her learning journey on becoming a teacher. As a class, school and community, we hope that she enjoys her time in our class and is able to take away many skills with her.

Netball and Soccer continue this week (weather permitting), so please remember to wear your sports uniform on Thursday and Friday.

Also a reminder about wearing the correct school uniform to school, even sports uniform. There have been some students wearing the incorrect uniforms. Please note that any student who wears incorrect uniforms will have a letter sent home to be signed by parents. This also includes jewellery that is not on the school policy.

Have a great week everyone and keep warm!

It is with great pleasure to announce that the Year 7 Jumpers have finally arrived!! They will be presented to the Year 7 Students at assembly on Monday morning. A note has gone home today (tues) asking parents and caregivers if they would like to attend the ceremony to help celebrate this special time for the Year 7 Students.
